ABOUT CONCEPT THERAPIES
Hi, my name is Sharon Bartlett and I am a qualified psychotherapist and hypnotherapist. I previously worked in further education for over twenty years, and in my my role as a lecturer and quality manager I worked with both adults and young people. The high number of individuals who experienced mental health issues in addition to other conditions which affected their every day life was ever apparent, and whilst I felt I was ill-equipped to give specialist advice at that time, it amazed me how little help was accessible to them and, how excessively long the waiting lists at specialist services were so, I decided to go into the field of counselling to try and make a small difference in what appears to be a vast arena of people looking for some kind of help.
I studied hypnotherapy as I discovered it was a great addition to counselling or as a standalone treatment. If nothing else, it enables you to go into a wonderful relaxing meditative state. You have the ability to change and hypnotherapy gives you that control back, allowing you to explore memories, images, sensations and emotions that you can learn to manage.
I set up Concept Therapies with a view to offer an integrative approach which means that my clinical treatment is in response to your individual needs. I understand that seeking therapy is a courageous step towards self-improvement, and as a therapist, I aim to provide a safe and supportive environment for you to explore your emotions and experiences. Whether you're feeling anxious, overwhelmed, or stuck, I can work with you to help you regain balance, and find a sense of peace.
